I’m working on a brand new website, so please note this site is a little out of date in places. To find my latest research, please visit my Google Scholar, ORCID, or ResearchGate profile.

I’m an epidemiologist and biostatistician with specialised interests in emerging infectious diseases and zoonotic viruses. I’m currently an MRC Skills Development Fellow based in the Department of Health Data Science at the University of Liverpool.

I obtained my PhD within the Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution, University of Edinburgh, before completing a lectureship in statistics with the sigma Mathematics and Statistics Support Centre, Coventry University.

I have an interest in science communication and outreach through alternative means such as comedy and art. I also have an interest in teaching methodologies in statistics and I act as a media contact for improving the way stats and risks are presented to the public as an Ambassador for the Royal Statistical Society.
